Student Employee (Delivery Driver & Event Rentals) – 2 OPENINGS
Colorado State University’s Department of Central Receiving is seeking students to work on campus in a fast paced environment receiving and delivering freight and parcels to departments on campus with Customer Service being our number one goal.
- Seeking up to 2 self-motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic student employees to assist in the delivery of freight and parcels throughout Campus.
- Ideal shift availability Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30-12 and/or 12:30-4, with the opportunity to continue employment through semester breaks and into the following semester, as well as up to 40hrs during Summer Break. We will work around class schedules for well qualified applicants.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide support to our Team at Central Receiving, receiving parcels and freight and delivering packages throughout the Main and South Campus.
- Assist in our Event Rentals, setting up and tearing down tents, tables, chairs, and barricades. There exists opportunities to assist on Gamedays as well, operating the bike valet as well as the storage lockers.
Required Skills:
- Must possess a valid US Driver’s License.
- Must be able to safely lift 25 lbs repeatedly, 50 lbs frequently, and 100 lbs occasionally.
- Responsible behavior and the ability to conduct themselves in a Professional manner.
- Be able complete Bicycle Friendly Driver program.
- Be able to use an Android based handheld scanner.
- Punctual, accountable, and responsible work.
Preferred Skills, or able to be trained:
- Experience driving a Box Truck.
- Experience with Pallet Jacks and Hand Trucks.
- Work independently and within a Team environment.

Surplus Property Cashier / Social Media Associate – 2 OPENINGS
Are you interested in working in a customer service role in a retail environment for a department whose goal is to help achieve University diversion and sustainability goals? If so, this job is for you!
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Provide face to face service to customers in a retail environment
- Processing transactions through a POS system
- Stocking and maintaining the appearance of merchandise throughout the store front
- Entering data into Excel spread sheets
- Creating and updating online sales postings
- Creating social media content
Additional duties you may be cross trained in to assist other areas of the department include but are not limited to:
- Testing a wide variety of technology items and general electronics for functionality
- Sanitizing and / or destroying data containing devices
- Processing excess items for resale or recycling
- Picking up and delivering University excess items across campus
- Operating a forklift and / or a box truck
Applicant requirements include:
- A valid US driver’s license
- The ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds

- Representing the department when on campus in a work capacity

Additional duties you may be cross trained in to assist other areas of the department include but are not limited to:
