Mail Production provides CSU departments with assistance in the design and preparation of their outgoing mailings. We offer folding, inserting, tabbing, inkjet addressing, labeling, address standardization and certification, mail merge, and letter printing services at reduced rates (often lower than off-campus mailing service providers.)
We are located at 200 W. Lake Street (Map) in the Central Receiving building on the Main Campus.
Our Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm (Excluding Major Holidays.)

| How do I Schedule Jobs & Request Mail Preparation Services through Mail Production? |

All maillings should be scheduled with Mail Production a suggested minimum of one week in advance. Please allow sufficient time for initial processing, equipment setup, and additional service(s) being performed.

Complete and attach the Mail Production Service Request Form

Attach all address files (.csv, .xls, .xlsx, etc.)

Attach National Change of Address (NCOA) documentation (if applicable.)
NCOA processing checks your address list against the USPS change-of-address databse. Lists are updated with new addresses when a change of address is found. NCOA processing is required prior to mailing at non-profit or other reduced rates. Please call us for additional assistance.

In the subject line please format with the Department Name followed by Project Name. For Example: Physics Department - Annual Survey.

| What are the USPS Regulations for Addresses on Flat Sized Mail? |
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) requires that
all Non-Profit & Standard Bulk Mail flats must have the entire delivery address
in the top half of the mail piece. For envelopes, the “top” is either of the
shorter edges. For self-mailers (i.e. magazines), the “top” is the upper edge of
the mailpiece when the bound or final folded edge is vertical and on the right
side of the piece. Addresses may not read upside down, but can read right or
left. Please see the below illustration.
In addition, mailers must also address all flat-size mail pieces using a minimum
of 8-point type, Sans Serif font and preferably in all caps. The characters in
the address must not overlap, the address lines must not touch or overlap, and
each address element may be separated by no more than five blank character

| What are the USPS Regulations for Non-Profit and Standard Bulk Mail? |
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) requires all
standard (non-profit and regular bulk) mailings to undergo Move Update processing
in order to qualify for standard mail postage rates. Please Click Here for additional information on this new regulation and the new procedure when
sending bulk mailings.

| How do I format my return address? |
The official Zip Code for Colorado State University is 80523. To ensure that your mail gets routed appropriately, it is imperative that you have your mail addressed correctly. Your mail should be addressed like the graphic below.

First two lines should be your name and department's name.

Next should say Colorado State University

Next should be the Campus Delivery Code in the format xxxx Campus Delivery.

Then, if your vendor requires a street address please use 200 W. Lake Street, this is the official addresses of the campus (do not use a building's street address.)

Next is Fort Collins, CO and our Zip Code of 80523 + Campus Delivery Code (this is known as a plus four Zip Code and will help ensure a quick delivery.)
