Hazardous Materials

 & Dangerous Goods Shipping

All persons shipping Dangerous Goods must hold a current valid DOT Dangerous Goods certification on file with Shipping & Receiving at CSU.  Contact us for information about certification.

All Dangerous Goods sent under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations must be physically brought to the Shipping Department by the shipper (200 West Lake Street, Central Receiving Building, Main Campus).   Upon arrival, the shipper will be required to complete all Dangerous Goods documentation electronically on our workstations.  The shipper must then sign all forms for the package to be processed and provided to the carrier.
