The Safer-at-Home Order for Larimer County and the State of Colorado does not impact the Departments of Central Receiving. All services will continue as outlined below. Face masks are required by recent City of Fort Collins Public Health Order to enter our facility or pick-up/drop-off packages at our drive up tent.
SHIPPING & RECEIVING

Due to the recent announcement that all University operations and services are moving virtual and online (with the exception of essential in-person functions), the Departments of Central Receiving has suspended all regularly scheduled deliveries unless otherwise arranged by the department. Our team looks forward to providing our University with the best support we can.
The Departments of Central Receiving will continue to provide services and critical functions, including those in-person functions across the university, through all phases of the University’s responses to COVID-19. As long as the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), and Federal Express (FedEx) are operational, we anticipate continuing to provide delivery and mail services.

Central Receiving will not be able to hold perishables, refrigerated, or frozen commodities.
Any large freight that requires the labor crew for delivery and setup will be stored at our Warehouse Services facility on International Blvd. and may incur storage fees.
If you are expecting a critical delivery, or need to pickup a package expected from UPS, FedEx DHL, OnTrac, Amazon, or USPS please fill out our Request to Hold, Change Delivery Location, or Refuse a Package form (tracking # is required.)
If you are coming to our facility for a pick up or drop off, please drive up to the tent on the Northwest corner of our building. This will be operational Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. A face mask is required to pick-up or drop-off packages or mail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Central Receiving & Mail Services receiving & sending mail and shipments?
Yes, we are still accepting and delivering all USPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, OnTrac, UPS, and Freight based on accommodations made with your department. We are only picking up and sending out any mail & packages from departments when arrangements have been made with your department; regular daily pickups and deliveries are suspended. Check with your department for further details. For inquiries about USPS, please contact Mail Distribution (970) 491-6529 or MailDistribution@colostate.edu. For inquiries about UPS, FedEx, DHL, OnTrac, or Freight, please contact Shipping & Receiving at (970) 491-1595 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
How does our department still receive mail and packages while we are operating virtually?
We are coordinating with each department to acquire access to your buildings and departments, or mail & packages will end up being held at Central Receiving for pickup. Please check with your department to ensure arrangements have been made. Are you the main department contact for deliveries? Please complete the Campus Delivery Code Delivery & Pickup Change Request form to notify us of any changes to your department delivery availability and to coordinate efforts to deliver your mail and packages during this incident.
Can Mail Services hold my department's Mail?
Yes, we will hold mail for a department. Due to the sheer volume of mail being delivered to, and held by, the Departments of Central Receiving due to the closure, we kindly ask that if your department plans on having staff on-site that they please call to coordinate a delivery or pickup of your department's items/products.

Can Central Receiving hold my packages & freight?
Yes, in most cases we can hold small individual packages. Please fill out the Request to Hold, Change Delivery Location, or Refuse a Package form to initiate a hold of a shipment. Holds on large shipments will not be accommodated at this time. If you do have a large shipment (freight) that you need held, please call (970) 491-2736 to inquire about our Warehouse Services available storage options.
Will the Departments of Central Receiving Hours Change?
Yes, our hours are subject to change as the situation evolves. Currently, we are open Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm by appointment. Call (970) 491-1595 to arrange a date and time for your pickup or drop-off appointment.
What if I need to ship a package but I am working remotely and not able to get it to shipping?
During the current closure, we are making available the "Actual Label Creator" option in Transtream. This will allow you to create a shipping label directly from your remote computer and print the label to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper that can then be taped to your package. To request this ability, visit the Transtream page for more information.
What is defined as "essential in-person"?
Colorado State University is defining essential in-person functions as those service functions that cannot be performed via e-mail, phone, or other online platforms, including but not limited to: feeding and serving students who remain in the residence halls; caring for animals and plants under the university's charge; performing physical maintenance and cleaning; using on-campus equipment that is vital to academic, research, or operations continuity; and conducting critical research tasks that cannot be done virtually. Is Surplus Property still open for sales of Computers and accessories?
Surplus Property is closed effective 3/23/2020. At the direction of the University to move all operations online, Surplus Property will not be accepting direct drop offs or picking up any EACR items during this closure beginning 3/23/20. We appreciate your understanding while we suspend these services and look forward to assisting you when we all return.
